Objective; to develop port crane services around the ME region

Main Activities:
The Port Crane Services Manager is responsible for generating leads for port cranes services business by visiting various ports around the region, work on costs with Projects & Service team, keep technical/quality control on project execution & deliverance in accordance with the quality standards and Group guidelines & policies.

Quotes and Project Assessment
He will generate the leads and for each lead he will be responsible for:

 Site inspections
 Give clear information to Projects teams for preparing quotes
 Support Sales Managers in commercial meetings with the clients whenever required
 Liaise with Service Manager for manpower & machinery requirements
 Technical & quality compliance of each executed project

Job Description

Project planning, development and follow-up

​​​​​​​Depending on the project and its complexity, he is in charge and responsible of each phase of the project lifecycle, by cooperating proficiently with all involved Departments. These phases can be summarized as follow:
  • Pre-Execution Phase, organization of future site activities together with the Service Manager; during this phase, he shall ensure correct allocation and check of resources (manpower and machinery) in detail for site activities, as well as prepare a detailed planning of the project by liaising with Project & Service Manager;
  • Execution Phase: in this phase, he is responsible of the follow-up of the site activities by working jointly with the Service Manager, in order to ensure the respect of all contractual conditions, of the detailed planning and of the detailed resources allocation, until the final handover of the site to the Client;
Project Close-Up:
in this phase, jointly with the Financial Dept., he is in charge of the final calculation regarding the project’s economical and financial status, as well as of the outlining of the lessons learnt and final reporting to the General Manager.


​​​​​​​Economic and financial aspects
​​​​​​​The Project Manager is in charge of the control and approval of economic and financial aspects of his projects. In particular, he is in charge of the following activities, for which he will cooperate proactively in strict contact with the Project Manager
  • Initial financial assessment of the project;
  • Costs initial forecast;
  • Keep control on cost budgets with PM
He shall report to his General Manager every week on the economic and financial status of his projects.

Depending on the company's priorities, the job holder may be assigned other tasks within his skills and
competences and for which he will be trained by a third party if needed.

Technics Good knowledge of steel-related construction market, technical aspects of
ports industry, and especially of port cranes industry being an asset.
Language Fluent in English; Any other language being an asset
IT Good knowledge of the Office Package, including but not limited to Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint;
Good knowledge of AutoCad 2D/3D or equivalent;
