Our client is a long established and very successful European Group of companies. They specialise in manufacturing of commercial kitchens. They require a Technical Design Manager with experience in Industrial/Mechanical Design on sheet metal (stainless steel) production (mostly customised), to head up and manage a team of 10 in the Design Department of a Commercial kitchen manufacturing unit in UAE.
Qualifications & Profile :
• Degree Holder in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural.
• Minimum 5 years experienced in the same role
• Excellent background in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (3D Modeling) and Solid works
• Experience in Industrial / Mechanical Design on sheet metal (stainless steel) production
• Very Good Knowledge in layout and planning.
• Very good command in English in oral and written communication skills to interface effectively with staff, management and various other internal and external parties.
• Driving License is a plus
Job Description
- Oversee and managing the Design Department, to focus on organization in all aspects of Project Design related information.
- Responsible for delegating the tasks and supervising the activities of the team ensuring the quality and consistency likewise contributing to the content and layout.
- Analyze problem areas, provides advice, demonstrates its proposed solutions, disseminates, and promotes its work to maximize the impact of the solutions proposed.
- Liaising and collaborating with the Teams, like Commercial/Engineers/Project Managers/Production that requires discussion, site visit, Client’s meeting to check relevant drawings/plans that needs to be revised/changed or implement, ensure messages/feedback/ solutions land appropriately to the team and clients.
- Provide creative strategies by executing creative materials and planning for any critical feedback/solutions when necessary to satisfy the clients.
- Develop and implement successful design strategies by outlining how the design team will create the project’s plan, ensuring relevant drawings, deliverables are completed on time.
- Prepare budget and maintain reports and documents, presentations as required on a Monthly/Annual Work Schedule of the Department.
